The Knocking Rod?
Yeah, it’s a weird name, but my British buddy Dan, a fellow member of The Car Nerdery suggested it because it’s funny. Funny like you’ve got a knocking rod in your car’s engine. Which isn’t actually fun, it’s potentially catastrophic. But I’m laughing just writing it, so there you have it.

Hello, my name is Niel Stender (yes, Niel is spelled funny). I’m an automotive journalist and mechanical engineer, and I’ve loved cars my whole life. My work has appeared in SlashGear, HotCars, and CarsForSale, and my first job out of college was at Ford, working on the S197 GT500 with SVT.
